My Trip to Canada

Editors Note: Conner and his family are friends with All-Canada's Steve Cegieski who's company Wolf River Expo is the offical decorator of the All-Canada Show.

By Conner - I had so much fun in Canada! I used the lime green Dardevle. I caught two northern Pike on it. Then I lost it because a fish snapped my line. I got a trophy perch with my orange Dardevle but it got off, me and my brother lost two 49 cent lures, but they caught all the fish. We were trolling for trout when we lost them.

There was a dog named Cooper in camp. He would sit at our doorstep when he smelled food. When I threw a rock out in the water he would bring it up with his paws closer to shore so he could pick it up with his mouth and bring it back to shore and bury it.

We explored an island with a cliff. We walked a half mile on a four wheeler trail to get to the top of the rocks. Cooper came with us. Me and my brother slid down an eight foot drop. Then we climbed a five foot slope. Then my family and I ran back through the rain! We saw a moose on the way back to our truck on the last day.

It was awesome fishing in Canada!

More Vacation Winners

Steve VanDyke of Dallas recently sent us some photos from the Canadian fishing trip he won to Dogskin Lake Lodge in Manitoba. Here is a picture of Steve with a walleye and Ashley from Dogskin Lake Lodge cooking shorelunch for guests.

Steve has this to say about his trip: "Dad and I had a wonderful time. We were impressed with Dogskin's facilities, operation and how their team catered to all our needs. The scenery around the lake is gorgeous. We enjoyed boating around the lake almost as much as catching fish. The food was plentiful and delicious. Chef Wayne with his wonderful breakfasts and dinners and Ashley and Britany with their shore lunches successfully put 10 lbs on me. While we caught lots of fish, including a 30" northern, the master level fish eluded us. We know they are there, as one of them tried to eat my 15" walleye while I was reeling it in. We hope to return again and chase him down!"

The All-Canada Show is glad you had a great trip Steve and thanks to Dogskin Lake Lodge for partnering with us!

Vacation Prize Winner

At every show we award a lucky attendee a Canadian fishing trip for two. Recently, we heard from Tim Hieb the trip winner for our Des Moines show. He traveled to Separation Lake Lodge on the English River north of Kenora, Ontario with his son David.

Tim had only positive things to say about the experience, “our cabin was newly remodeled, had satellite TV and panoramic view if the lake.” About the food Tim declared. “I’m from Iowa…so I know a good beef and I was surprised at the quality and preparation of the steak.” Finally, Tim had this to say about the fishing, “it was some of the best walleye fishing ever, in fact, my son caught an eight pounder!”

When you attend the All-Canada Show next winter, coming to a city near you, be sure to sign-up for our prizes…because like Tim in Iowa your next fishing trip to Canada might be on us!

All-Canada inspires CNN article

Earlier this summer the All-Canada Show contacted CNN.com with a story idea to feature lodges you can only reach by plane. After doing research and providing many recommendations Katherine Dorsett wrote the feature. Enjoy!
